I am a French & History graduate with an interest in language learning and cultural exchanges. I have some experience of English teaching and of sports coaching (tennis), working with both adults and children. My main hobbies include sport (particularly tennis), cinema, music, contemporary history and animals & the environment. I follow national and international news closely as well in order to keep up to date with current events.Me as a Teacher
I have been working as a community teacher on Italki for around 18 months and plan to take a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) qualification soon. I enjoy online teaching although I am interested in working abroad as a TEFL teacher and gaining more classroom experience. The opportunity to spend time in a foreign country to learn about a new
culture and possibly a new language is appealing to me. I think culture forms an important part of language learning and I enjoy discussing these areas with students. My lessons & teaching style
My teaching style is quite relaxed and I do not necessarily plan lessons unless a student wants to work on something specific. The emphasis is mostly on speaking practice and for students to express themselves on a wide variety of topics. In doing so, they should learn more about the English language and hopefully the Anglophone world. I also enjoy looking at the written work of students and enjoy these lessons when they crop up. Sometimes I use resources such as audio recordings and online articles to keep lessons stimulating or if a student so wishes . I send corrections and language tips via the chat on each platform and can point students in the direction of further resources.My teaching material

I highly recommend lessons with Felix. He's patient, kind, and open to a variety of topics. He has extensive knowledge of various fields, so conversations with him are always very interesting. He shares many useful words and phrases used by native speakers, which significantly increases my English vocabulary.

C’était un échange très sympa avec Felix.
Ce n’était pas évident au début (je n’étais pas vraiment au top de ma forme), mais Felix est resté très patient, relax et compréhensif.
Au fil de la conversation, tout s’est débloqué naturellement — et on a même trouvé plusieurs occasions de rire ensemble, ce qui est toujours agréable quand on est en phase d’apprentissage.
Et petit bonus : j’ai passé la moitié du cours à me demander à qui il me faisait penser…
Je crois qu’il a un petit air de Bradley Cooper dans certains de ses films 😄
