Be ready to talk a lot when with Rafael which is exactly what I was looking for in my Spanish language classes. In addition, be ready that Rafael will seed some universal questions in your head and push you to reflections which is an unexpected bonus to a class. Rafael’s thorough feedback helps to expand the vocabulary. Finally, he comes across as a kind human-being that is something to treasure nowadays. To wrap up, if you are looking for a teacher who is knowledgable, patient and has humane attitude towards things in life, Rafael is def your go-to option.

An absolute all-star teacher! I have been a regular student of Rafa’s for a while, and I always leave fully energized after our Spanish chats. The conversation flows, and I hardly note that any of my deficiencies in the language are barriers to deep and meaningful exchanges. I absolutely recommend his “Next Level Spanish!” modules, where he finds thought-provoking material, based on common interests, to review before the class. I often wish that the clock would just freeze, as his questions and suggestions generate so much intrigue that I just hate having to disconnect. Thank you, Rafa, for bringing my Spanish to a level of real connection and vitality. You’ve got a special gift for inspiring and lifting those around you.

Rafa is probably my favorite teacher on iTalki and certainly among the best Spanish teachers I've had in my whole life. His teaching style is conversational: he always manages to get more words out of me than I know I have in my active vocabulary, and because of his wide ranging intellectual abilities, as well as a genuine interest in other people, we can have a conversation about almost anything, which has certainly helped my Spanish loads. Rafa also provides a list of corrections at the end of the lesson which we go over together, and I usually turn into Anki flashcards!
