I am a teacher and writer with over ten years’ experience teaching English as a foreign language. I’m educated to master’s level and, in the UK, I’m a certified secondary-school teacher of English language and literature (PGCE and Qualified Teacher Status). I was born and raised in the Cotswolds and later taught English abroad, including living in Florence for a year, where I learned to speak Italian fluently. I run the YouTube channel UNLOCK ENGLISH WITH HANNAH, followed by tens of thousands of learners worldwide, where I help students speak natural, confident, real-world English. As a writer, I bring a strong focus on nuance, clarity and natural phrasing to my lessons with clear progress. I am a passionate and dedicated teacher, who draws a great deal of pleasure from helping my students improve; it is rewarding and fulfilling to help pupils achieve their ambition.
