About Me

Hello my name is Sam and I am really pleased to see you here at iTalki. I am from the United Kingdom and live in Birmingham with my two children and wife. Throughout my life I have travelled to many different countries and I have had the pleasure of being able to experience a variety of different cultures, I really enjoy travelling and meeting new people. Language learning is a strong passion of mine and like you I am also a language learner, I am currently learning Spanish where I have recently achieved B1 level. I thoroughly understand the difficulties and challenges one faces when learning a new language, but more importantly I understand how one can quickly reach a proficient level.

Me as a Teacher

As a teacher you will find me punctual, supportive and informative. I focus on making the classes relaxing, enjoyable and fun. I like to ensure that each lesson is tailored to suit your needs and requirements. I use a variety of material within my lessons I.e. flashcards, news articles, images and visuals etc. You are in capable hands of a friendly Community Teacher who will do his very best to help you reach your goal.

My lessons & teaching style

I am a firm believer in encouraging students to speak in the target language as much as possible during my classes. I like to use a variety of material in order to encourage the student to speak in the target language and I will be there every step of the way to help you along the path to proficiency. I encourage humour in my classes and aim to create a friendly and relaxing environment.
