Hello
I am Mike C and I was born and raised in Western Canada. I am a technical college graduate
(Electronics) and I have worked in a range of different jobs over the years. This experience means that
I can help you with many different kinds of English conversation.
I also have a wide and ever growing range of interests; everything from music to vintage cameras to
steam locomotives! I am sure we can find something to talk about.Me as a Teacher
What is conversation?
Conversation is many things. Chatting with a friend in a coffee shop is conversation, but so is giving
your boss a project update. Giving an informal talk to a group of fellow students or a service club is
conversation, but so is giving a formal presentation (even if you do not take questions afterwards).
I believe that the most important thing about conversation is communicating clearly. The best way to
improve your communication is practice and that's what I am here for. My lessons & teaching style
Conversation is not the only thing we can work on. If you are looking for someone to check a report or
to help you prepare for a presentation, I can help you with that too. I like to keep lessons as relaxed as
possible and to make sure that we are covering the areas that you want to.
I would work best with teenagers or adults with a moderate understanding of English, but I am willing

Mike impressed me as a professional who was involved in my case analysis from the very first minute. He was interested and was able to "read" me very quickly. I quickly calmed down and stopped feeling shy from my first interaction with a native speaker. His professionalism was palpable. Mike is intelligent, and it was interesting to work with him. I highly recommend him!

His English accent is completely neutral and very easy to understand but the lesson was disappointing. Although my English level is advance, he spoke almost all the time and for me to speak I had to interrupt him, which made the lesson uncomfortable. In addition the tutor was wearing a cap and kept his face low like if he was hidding his face, which in my opinion is rude. It was like I was speaking with a cap. In conclussion a bad experience. I don´t recommend him.
