汉语流畅 | 14+ years teaching experience | 8+ languages | 1600+ italki classes Please note: I am not teaching children's classes at this time. My name is Trevor (康明). I am a native speaker of American English from New York, and I am based in Boston. I specialize in pronunciation and grammar, and I teach all levels of English as well as beginner Mandarin. I am a language learner myself and understand firsthand how challenging and rewarding the journey can be. With over 1,600 lessons taught on italki, I have had the pleasure of working with students from all kinds of backgrounds and proficiency levels. I love teaching, learning languages, and meeting people from all around the world. Language learning is challenging, but the process can and should be genuinely fun and enjoyable. In my lessons, I focus on: building natural intuition through practice and repetition rather than rote memorization; learning vocabulary and grammar in meaningful context; developing comfort with both formal and informal speech; using English as much as possible to maximize immersion; and adjusting my speaking pace to suit your level, starting slower and speeding up as your skills grow. ‼️ Please note: I do not allow discussion of politics in my classes.
