Привет! I'm Vika, your Russian tutor. I'm here to help you learn this awesome language!
Back in school, I rocked Russian & literature, even took part in competitions & wrote for the school newspaper.
I went through a phase of not knowing what I wanted to be when I grew up. It wasn't until my maternity leave that I realized I wanted to draw & help people speak fluent Russian.
Recently, my family & I moved from Russia to the UK. Fun fact: I have Ukrainian roots, but my parents moved to Siberia in the 80s for work, & that's where I was born & raised.

I don't have official qualifications, but I have undertaken several courses in teaching Russian as a foreign language. This pursuit has captivated & inspired me for the past two years.
I help students talk in Russian as easily as they do in their own language. The ability to maintain one's identity regardless of the language spoken is of profound importance.
Your narratives, hobbies, perspectives, & experiences intrigue me. I hold a deep admiration for people & their incredible diversity, as each individual is akin to a unique universe.

Having spontaneous chats about anything can be both easy and tough. My students say they like not needing to think about topics – I guide our talks by asking questions and sharing my own stories.
Usually, I don't give homework, but sometimes I might ask for extra examples using new phrases.
I'm flexible with how lessons go. So, if you want, we can chat first, then read, and tackle tricky grammar later.

Vika is great. I'm a beginner but I can understand more than 50% of her words. She also carries the conversation, which is useful when you're still a beginner, have a lot to talk about and don't know where to start since you don't have the words to say it. She patiently waits for you to build your sentence. She makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommended!!!
