I live on the south coast of England, where I teach English and work as a theatre director. I love cooking, running by the sea, and reading. I speak French and Greek, and over the years I have explored many languages, including Italian, German, Japanese, and Mandarin -- so I understand the long, sometimes surprising journey of learning a language. That experience shapes everything I do as a teacher. If you are an intermediate or advanced student with an interest in literature, I also offer lessons on Shakespeare and modern theatre.
I am enthusiastic, patient, and encouraging -- but my warmth is backed by rigorous knowledge of the language. With ten years of one-to-one teaching and a background in theatre directing, I specialise in helping learners become confident, expressive speakers. Having studied several languages myself, I know what it feels like to be a student: the moments of breakthrough, and the moments when progress feels slow. I have strategies for both. Whether you are starting your intermediate journey or feeling stuck in a plateau, I can help you move forward.
