Hi, there! I'm a Venezuelan girl who loves helping people achieve their language learning goals. I enjoy spending time meeting new people, new cultures, and life experiences. I'm also a linguistics lover, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languagues, so we can discuss together any question you have about grammar or phonetics. And if you're a beginner, don't worry! I'm patient and kind so learning Spanish or English isn't a nightmare for you. I'll help you succeeding in that desired fluency.

I have a B. D. in Modern Languages, so I have an expert knowledge about language, its culture, grammar and phonetics. Besides, I love teaching, sharing my knowledge, and helping others achieve their learning goals. Time ago, I was a beginner like you, so believe me: I understand all insecurities and difficulties you might have in this process. Beginner or intermediate, we can work together and make fluent speaking and writing real.

My lessons & teaching style

I teach every single subject which is useful for your improvement in speaking and writing a new language. My teaching method is the PPU: presentation-practice-use. BUT, if you have, already know or desire a different method, I can adjust to your needs! I like using some games and conversation cards about lifestyles, culture, travel, nature, music, health, or whatever topic you are interested in. I promise students that here learning languages is much comfortable, focused, annnd FUN! The only thing I require students is responsibility and goodwill to learn.

I have been studying with Marijo for almost 5 years now and couldn't possibly explain how happy I am that I've found her! I have taken classes with MANY different teachers but Marijo is by far the best! I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with her extensive knowledge of the language, the incredible environment she creates, or the way she teaches it. Basically, I have a teacher that can answer ANY question I have about the language, in an environment where I feel completely comfortable, with something prepared for my specific needs, all while being positive, ready to help, and smiling. I have enjoyed EVERY SINGLE class with her and ALWAYS look forward to the next. It didn't take long to realize that Marijo not only is an incredible teacher, but an incredible person as well. I am soooooo grateful to have her as my teacher! You definitely won't regret choosing Marijo!!!

Today's class with Marijo was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly patient, ever pleasant and encouraging, and she taught at a pace that felt exactly right for my current (low) level of comprehension and speaking ability.
