Hello! My name is Magda. I'm a teacher of Polish as a foreign language with almost 15 years of experience. I was born in Warsaw, I've lived here all my life with short breaks for various scholarships and travels. Yes! Traveling is definitely one of my biggest passions. When I plan a trip I can't sleep at night organizing attractions, so as not to lose a minute:)
When I don't work, I like to spend time on different boards - on snow or water. And when I'm tired, I rest watching TV series on Netflix with a cats under my arm.Me as a Teacher
First of all. I'm not an English teacher who earns extra money by teaching Polish ;)
My adventure with teaching Polish began at the age of 17, when I was a volunteer who helped foreigners who lived in Warsaw. I studied Polish and Russian Philology at the University of Warsaw. I also completed post-graduate studies with a specialization in teaching Polish as a foreign language.
Over time, passion turned into work and today I'm a professional teacher of Polish as a foreign language, as well as an examiner and author of the tasks during State Exams in Polish. I’ve been teaching foreigners from over 30 countries around the world and prepared nearly 100 students for Polish State Exams.My lessons & teaching style
- In Polish we say: "A smile opens many doors." And I agree with that. Atmosphere during lesson is very important.
- I think that a lesson is not just about talking about anything. Language is a system, so you need to develop all skills.
- I try to keep my lessons up to date. You think you can't talk about the Internet, coronavirus or ecology at levels A1 or A2? You can! Ok, maybe not at the first or second lesson, but at 10 or 15 - why not :) Using simple language, we can talk about important topics in Polish very soon!
- I use many applications, games, so that my lessons are not monotonous. But I don't like to overdo. The main goal is to teach you as much as possible, not only have fun.My teaching material

My first lesson with Magda, she really went into some fine details in Polish and made the learning very fun and straightforward. She tailored the program to test me on what I knew and then also sent me the slides we did as well as some homework to do before next lesson. Throughout the lesson she highlighted important things and things I need to work on. I am very excited to continue to learn polish from her!
