My favorite topics to discuss are culture, movies, and sports. One of my hobbies is going to art museums, so if you have any drawings I would LOVE to see them and we can talk about your inspiration. I also love movies, video games, and working out. I played football, basketball, and track while in high school and some of college. So I have a deep love for athletics. I work in the IT industry as a product director, so I am always interested in discussing new and emerging software. I am also very interested in travelling and recently visited China. I am an open book and always happy to introduce myself and learn about you and your culture.Me as a Teacher
My teaching experience comes from my program with international students at my university. This program allowed me to better understand students and their different situations. I also have taught various levels of English. While in high school I taught children that just started learning the language and in college I tutored native speakers. So, if you are not confident in your English don't worry about it! We all have to start somewhere! My inspiration for tutoring English really blossomed when I was able to meet amazing people from all around the globe and could help them reach a singular goal. Language allows us to understand each other and bonds us as teachers, students, and humans.My lessons & teaching style
I have a very flexible style with my students and will vary student to student. If I have students that just want a casual conversation to practice their English then we can do that. If I have students that want to prepare for a test then I can help with that as well. But even in casual conversation I will be actively listening and giving feedback to my student. One of my favorite things to do with students is to read a novel or article together. I have read hundreds of novels and I can find one that my student may find very challenging or simple, depending on what they want. We can take it a page at a time or a paragraph at a time. I know how difficult it can be to learn a language!My teaching material

Product ManagerManaging a support team has given me the opportunity to train and connect with many different types of people. It has also introduced me to the world of IT which can be very universal when connecting to students through English. With managing comes training and with training comes teaching, that role of a teacher at my job has really opened up my abilities to support my students in the most affective way.
