Where am I from?
The suburbs of east London, but I now live in Rutland- the smallest county in England!
Where have I lived?
England, Poland, Russia, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
What have I worked as?
A teacher, examiner, internal verifier, project manager and craftswoman!
Have I been a language student?
Yes! I'm fairly fluent in Spanish; I know a little Russian and Polish.
What are my interests?
Motorbikes (I ride a trike); designing and making jewellery/accessories; upcycling; fantasy and horror books/films/board games; neurodiversity; nutrition and cooking; nature; the environment; travel.

I'm TEFL-qualified with a post-graduate Cambridge DELTA and a MEd in Applied Linguistics. I've been working in teaching, examining and/or management roles for decades!

I'm patient, relaxed and easy to talk to, offering expert and challenging lessons. In the trial, you can tell me what you're looking for, then during our initial lessons, we can get to know each other while I informally assess your English.
Classes are then tailored for you using a range of materials to go at a pace which suits you.My lessons & teaching style
All classes include lots of speaking practice to help you to use English with confidence.
Whilst conversation classes are very relaxed and not planned, a lot of vocabulary and any necessary grammar and pron can be reviewed as we go.
Other classes are planned with particular focus on areas relevant to you, and homework is provided.
I use a range of quality teaching resources to give you a great learning experience: we learn best when lessons are interesting and informative, so I find and create materials to keep you motivated and help you learn naturally and effectively.
I'm also flexible, so if you come to a lesson and need help with a college project or a work presentation- no problem!My teaching material
