I hold a Bachelor's degree in Languages and have over 10 years of teaching experience.
My teaching focuses on both conversation and grammar to help students improve fluency and accuracy.
I focus on creating a safe space where you can express yourself freely, make mistakes, and grow, while customizing each lesson to your goals, interests, and learning pace.

I offer two types of lessons: conversation and grammar.
🗣️ Conversation classes come in three formats—by level, Mexican culture, or Bible study—and are designed to help you speak naturally and appropriately in real-life situations.
📖 Grammar classes are structured for beginners and personalized for intermediate students.
We work through clear explanations, practical examples, and optional homework, all tailored to your learning needs.
Each class is relaxed yet well-organized, with conversation at the center. I offer gentle corrections as you speak and share helpful notes afterward so you can review and keep improving between sessions.My teaching material

2002 - 2006
Bachelor’s - EducationThe objective of the Bachelor's Degree in Languages is to train professionals in the different theories and methodologies for foreign language learning, while providing students with knowledge about the cultural and literary expressions of the diverse peoples of the countries where these languages originate.

Bachelor’s - EducaciónThe theological institute is dedicated to training Sunday School teachers with the biblical, ethical, and ministerial knowledge necessary to serve with excellence in their faith communities.
Work Experience
2001 - 2011
TeacherI led workshops focused on reading, writing and spelling for both youth and adults. I helped students improve their writing and reading comprehension skills. I also taught Biblical Hermeneutics and Old Testament
2015 - 2019
TeacherI taught Spanish as a first language at the high school level, providing instruction in grammar, literature, and culture. I used a communicative teaching approach to help students develop effective communication skills that allow them to interact in real life situations with confidence and fluency.

Rocio is a fantastic teacher-- She's calm, creative, patient and a good conversationalist. I started taking lessons with Rocio four months ago before visiting Mexico. Currently I'm enrolled in a Spanish language school in Mexico and meet with Rocio three times a week to practice my pronunciation and improve my speaking and comprehension skills. I appreciate Rocio calmness and how she is very patient when I mispronounce words, or don't know a word, or if I use the wrong verb conjugation. She is also always sharing online resources with me to help improve my skills and is always willing to help me with my homework if I ask for help. I highly recommend Rocio.

I work with Rocio three times a week. She is an excellent teacher who uses examples, explanations, experience, technology and homework to facilitate progress and success for learning Spanish. She also provides encouragement with her positive energy and attitude. Additionally I appreciate her willingness to answer endless questions. I find her to be very patient and supportive in her explanations. I highly recommend her skills and aptitude for teaching! She is a pleasure to work with and a caring person who wants her students to achieve their language goals.
