Hi there!
I am Sabrin, an energetic and open-minded 28-year-old Finnish girl who has a passion for travelling.
I have been backpacking on and off since I was 16 years old, although at the moment I’m living back home in Jyväskylä.
I love singing and laughing, and I also love cats. What I love to do in my free time; adventuring, going to the gym and just eating chocolate while watching Netflix! And of course my favorite, hanging out with my friends just chilling and talking.
I love talking to different kinds of people, learning new things, and teaching new things.Me as a Teacher
As a teacher I am fun, but supportive and patient. I want to focus on every student 100%, my priority is to support your learning the best way I can. To push you to be a better speaker, wether it is Finnish or English, but not to push you too hard. I want to create a relaxed and supportive athmosphere where you don't need to be afraid of making mistakes, and where you can feel confident.My lessons & teaching style
I teach all levels, beginners from a book and more advanced speakers with just talking. However if you wish to learn from your own material or in a different way, I am open to everything.
Total beginners are also welcome, I will teach everything; pronunciation, grammar, listening comprehension etc. I will give you homework as well.
My conversation lesson is based on talking, so it's gonna be fun!
I will do my best teaching and explaining you whatever it is that you want/need to learn, but some grammatical explanations might be better to learn with a professional teacher.My teaching material

I'm so grateful for Opettaja Sabrin. I've been studying Finnish with her for about 7 months now and I always look forward to our lessons. She is extremely patient and she has a special talent in making our lessons fun and interesting. I particularly like that she has taught me puhekieli from the beginning. I love learning Finnish with Sabrin. I started learning from Sabrin 3 months ago (omg how time flies!) with zero knowledge about the language and now, we can have conversations in Finnish with back and forth questions together. It feels incredibly comfortable to speak with Sabrin, she is so patient and attentive and teaches every lesson in a well-structured manner. I must say that Finnish is a difficult language. There are numerous rules and nuances to commit to memory. But Sabrin breaks down each grammar rule, sentence construction, and practises patiently with me every week. Over time, I found it almost natural to speak and understand Finnish. She truly makes it enjoyable to learn Finnish and I always look forward to our classes together. :) Kiitos Sabrin!

Sabrin is the best teacher I can imagine! She is an absolute expert in teaching puhekieli. She always provides you with hints and information that are helpful for you on your language level to raise your skills and feel more comfortable in speaking and understanding Finnish. At the same time she is superpatient so that I don´t have to be afraid of making mistakes.
