My name is Tomoko. I was born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. I lived for five years in Germany. So I can speak Japanese and German. Previously I worked at bank for a market finance department in Tokyo. So I can also teach business etiquette. I currently teach Japanese, math, and English to elementary and middle school students at a private tutoring school. I like traveling, listening to music and going to the gym. And I really love to have many friends in the world and know other culture. I would like to tell you more about wonderful Japan. I would like to share a great time with you.

Me as a Teacher

I have learned German. I could understand how people feel when they are facing new language, because I had also difficulty studying German. I have some experiences of teaching Japanese in German. I’ll teach you all situations, you need to know, like for business, traveling, chatting with your friends or any romance with your partner. I currently teach Japanese, math, and English to elementary and middle school students at a private tutoring school, so I am also able to teach your children in my italki classes.

My lessons & teaching style

My lesson style is basically using everyday conversation, like learning from easy phrases to advanced expressions. You can bring any topics that you want to talk or learn with me. Also I can help to speak Japanese polite words and expressions on business. In the Business Japanese class, I will prepare and share the materials for you. I can provide supplementary lessons in Japanese and math for children attending International Japanese School. I can also assist with school homework. If you take my lesson, you would speak beautiful Japanese ！

Though I've only had a trial lesson with Tomoko, I'm sure she's exactly what I'm looking for in a Japanese tutor. During the lesson, she listened carefully to what I said, and offered a range of study plans, along with the right Japanese expression. I'm looking forward to seeing Tomoko again in our next regular lesson.
