My name is Doreen. l am a certified English teacher, a native English speaker from California. In 2017 l moved to Guatemala, where I volunteer to teach English to preschoolers, teens and adults. This experience is not only helping me to be a better person, but as one learning a new language, it's helping me become a better teacher.Me as a Teacher
My teaching experience began as an assistant in a Daycare. I was teaching 2 & 3 year olds and it was fun! That was the turning point for me. I've always recognized the impact a teacher could have on a student because of how my teachers inspired me. But in that daycare, it was the students that had an impact on me as a teacher! Learning does not have to be hard or boring , no matter what age you are or what you are learning. Of course it takes effort, but it can be a process that you can enjoy. As a teacher, I will give my best to each student.My lessons & teaching style

I interact with them to keep their attention with color, props, toys to make them happy...and laugh. To make learning fun. The more involved they are, the more they will enjoy learning and they will practice even when class is over.

She is a good teacher who listens to me.
After each class, she provide feedback on English pronunciation (especially words).
It's been almost 3 months since I've been taking her classes with her, and I feel like my English skills are improving. Every class is taught in a comfortable atmosphere, so my fear of English is gradually decreasing! I recommend her! Thank u teacher!
