Fun and passionate Dutch teacher with own materials and detailed feedback Hoi! My name is Chris, a Dutch native and I'm teaching Dutch (adults) on this platform. I'm currently living in Mexico, but have lived in Rotterdam, Vietnam & Spain before. I’ve been teaching since 2018 and always try to make my students feel comfortable. I believe that when you feel relaxed, you speak more, and learn faster. I enjoy adding some jokes and making the lessons feel relaxed. Over the years, I’ve helped many students prepare for both the inburgeringsexamen and the staatsexamen in the Netherlands. So if you're studying for an exam, I’ll help you feel confident and ready. MY LESSON APPROACH: My classes are relaxed, but structured. I always take notes and will send a review after the class for you to have an overview as well. In our first lesson, we’ll create a personal plan based on your goals and learning style. Everyone learns differently, so I adapt to what works best for you. I'll make sure there will be a variety of accuracy and fluency practice. CANCELLATION POLICY: - Cancelling less than 24 hours before class: 50% of the lesson price is charged, as the time slot can no longer be booked by other students. - Cancelling less than 3 hours before class: no rescheduling possible.

Chris is the best teacher I have ever met on Italki.💯 He is very good at tailoring lessons for each individual’s needs. He also has a lot of experience of teaching and is always very encouraging. He makes me believe I can do it which is very important for language learning. I am motivated and inspired by Chris all the time.☺️ Please book Chris’s lesson asap when he has availability since he will help your language learning journey substantially.👌 Dank je wel Chris!🙏

I have had four Dutch lessons with Christiaan and am planning to continue learning with him. I like how he structures our lessons, notices my mistakes, and helps me fix them. At the same time, the lessons are fun and engaging, and after each one, I’m in a great mood and feel motivated.
