I have worked most of my life as an Audiologist, helping people who have hearing problems. I have also worked as a foster carer, looking after children. I am now retired and live a quiet life in a small village in the north of England. I love my home and my garden. I'm pretty active and sometimes struggle to sit still. I have a very relaxed style in lessons and I think we'll enjoy our conversations together. I only offer conversation practice but I do prepare for lessons ensuring you have the correct material to read beforehand. I am a sensitive teacher and can adapt to your needs. I am interested in nature and the environment but have been a strong businesswoman in the past so am not to be underestimated! Unfortunately my lessons are not suitable for children. During your trial lesson you can tell me about your interests and what you would like to talk about. I will find authentic texts that you can read or videos to watch before our lessons then we can discuss them. We'll focus on specific topics so you can build your vocabulary and fluency and begin to feel confident discussing these topics with others. Please note that I am a community tutor and not a professional teacher. I only offer conversation practice. Lessons are suitable for students who are at intermediate level or above.
