Every class is full of useful vocabulary and cultural insight. Sherri is always well prepared and makes you feel comfortable practicing new things. I used to be so scared to speak Chinese because I was embarrassed to make mistakes, but over time she’s really helped me overcome those fears, reorient my learning mindset, and gain confidence as a student. Can’t recommend her highly enough.

Sherri is an exceptional Chinese teacher! She is incredibly patient, encouraging, and well-prepared for every lesson. She explains grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure in a way that is easy to understand, and she always makes sure I fully understand each concept before moving on. Her lessons are very organized and build naturally from one topic to the next, which has helped me make steady progress. She also provides great notes and practice that I can review between lessons. What I appreciate most is that she adapts the lessons to my learning style and keeps them engaging and enjoyable. I always leave class feeling more confident in my Chinese than when I started. If you're serious about learning Mandarin, whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience, I highly recommend Sherri. She is an outstanding teacher, and I'm looking forward to continuing my lessons with her!

Very well structured lesson, teacher helped kids to describe their daily activities in Chinese, then taught them some new words and practiced conversations using those new words. The class ended with some fun games using Chinese. Kids learned and had fun at the same time!

I have been seeing Sherri only 1-2x/mo and using free materials otherwise. Guys, wow. When I can't figure something out, like the other day I was hung up on giving/getting directions in my target language, I asked her for help and she had materials ready so we could talk about walking around a city and "the library is north of the playground" and "how do I get to the house?" "turn left at the road then walk straight" I was so confused when I entered the lesson and when I left I felt confident in giving/getting directions. If I had plenty of cash to blow, I would be doing lessons twice a week because anytime I am hung up on a topic, she does such a great job of explaining it. I am sure if you booked her for a full curriculum, you would not be disappointed.
