Hi everyone, my name is Jhonny Steven and I am from a beautiful country called Colombia. I was born in Bogotá but at this time i live in a city called Fusagasugá, and I know it seems like a tongue twister. My accent is from the center of the Country which in my opinion is easier to understand. My native language is SPANISH. A little bit about me, I like drawing and soccer, and I like to practice meditation, as well reading and listening to music. I also enjoy reading books, philosophy and current events.Me as a Teacher
I have been teaching SPANISH for three years mainly through conversation because i believe that having interesting conversations and using the language with a native is the best way to learn. Do not be afraid to make mistakes, that is the only way to learn.
I enjoy helping people and have gone through the struggle of learning a language myself. I will be patient with my students and treat each one as an individual. Please feel free to ask me about the areas you want to improve and focus on. I am here to help you.My lessons & teaching style
I offer general class and conversational practice. In the general class we will cover reading, writing, pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. I will explain the meaning of words and how they are used. I will go over prepositions and sentence structure. I like to explain in simple ways the questions about grammar, I would explain what you mean by assimilation to connect ideas with words. if you can speak ENGLISH, I can give you explanations about the things that you do not understand talking in ENGLISH.
In the conversational practice we will have conversations about different topics so we can grow and build up your pronunciation and vocabulary.My teaching material

I really enjoy my classes with Jhonny. He’s very easy to talk to, is patient when I’m trying to find the right words and tunes the discussions to my interests. I also like it when he tells me interesting things about Colombia.
I feel like talking to him has been great for my progress, as it not only boosts my confidence to speak Spanish, but also enables me to identify gaps in my vocabulary that I didn’t even know were there.
I hope there will be many more lessons!
