I am Dutch, but I have been living in China for 14 years. In China I found out the importance of learning languages. But I also found out the most important part of learning a language is finding the confidence to speak in that language. Hallo, mijn naam is Joshua. In China a lot of people want to learn from foreigners. Thus I started to teach people. Now I have been teaching English and Dutch for a long time and I like it a lot. Seeing students grow from beginners into full native speakers is great. My classes will be in the target language, so you speak more from the start. Usually I first try to find out the student's level and interests. After that I can make sure I find topics for you. so you will stay motivated. Come learn with me! Kom studeren!

I have had a few classes with Joshua so I can write a proper review :) Joshua is a patient and kind teacher. He matches his choice of words so it's easy for me to understand. He also takes into consideration of what I want to learn. He is a good teacher!

Joshua is excellent at creating a comfortable atmosphere to learn, as he is very calm and understanding- I don't stress about making mistakes, so it's easy as a student to try! Learning materials are provided for my lessons.

I worked with Joshua over several months to discuss topics of interest for me to build up some level of competence in areas not covered in my Dutch courses. He was patient with his listening and honest with his responses to make for good conversation.
