One of my favorite parts of teaching is getting to know my students, their interests, cultures, and goals, and helping them become more confident in English. My career started in finance. I studied economics and finance and worked in mortgage banking and on Wall Street. After moving abroad and starting my family, I discovered my love for teaching. I became CELTA certified, earned my teaching license, and have since taught English both online and in the classroom. I truly love teaching and feel lucky to do it. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a student become less afraid of making mistakes, find the words they were looking for, and realize how much they have improved. I teach General, Conversational, Business, and Financial English. I am still passionate about financial markets, trading, and investing, but I am curious about almost everything! I speak French, German, and a little Italian, so I understand the challenges of learning a language. Outside teaching, I enjoy singing, dancing, and exploring the outdoors. I have had over 20 lessons with Amy, and I can say I haven't had this kind of experience in a long time. There was specific homework for every lesson; she listened and gave comments on my speech, as well as custom assignments if I didn't understand a topic.
