Phil

Phil is a superb Luxembourgish teacher. Thanks to him, I passed C1 Luxembourgish and continue to progress. He has a wealth of knowledge about how Luxembourgish became what it is today and about the history of the country. Our conversations are always engaging and I take something valuable away from each lesson.

Phil is outstanding and would be my no. 1 recommendation for the Sproochentest and Lux language prep. I worked with him over a few months and passed. He brings a wealth of resources but primarily he's great at what he does because he gets you talking from the get-go, and that helps build confidence and capability. I also really appreciated that he was exceptionally professional - all the housekeeping was in hand from the beginning - the lessons notes, his book (co-authored with Melanie) and extra drills. It was efficient and easy to work with him; I have a demanding job and family commitments that meant using my time well and efficiently were important and his organization and agility as a teacher were really helpful and important to me. Phil is an excellent instructor with keen understanding of my areas of improvement in the language, guided me effectively using various techniques towards the goal. I started learning Luxembourgish with Phil from scratch, and thanks to his classes and guidance that I passed the Sproochentest. I'm sticking with his lessons to become fluent in the language.
