Over 4 years as an Italki tutor, offering natural and engaging conversation I'm English and I grew up just outside London. I am currently travelling in Latin America, I am a passionate traveller and I've spent a lot of time volunteering in countries all over the world. I love to learn about different cultures and people. I have a lot of experience working and living with people who are not fluent in English and I love helping people to improve their speaking skills. I am patient and understanding when it comes to teaching. I will adjust what level of English I use based on the student. And I am happy to take the time to focus on particular areas of interest or to repeat anything that is not well understood. I believe a relaxed and fun approach is the best way to learn. I only teach adults (18+). My teaching style is to use informal conversation to help you improve your speaking skills. I will lead a conversation on a particular topic, but also try to make it as natural as possible, helping you to practice what you know and put it to use in real life conversation. We will work on your pronunciation and build your confidence. Hopefully I can also teach you some everyday slang and idioms used in Britain that you'll need to know to get by here.
