Hello, everyone! I am Elena. I am from Guangzhou, a city in south China.
My Chinese name is Jiaxian; I am a native speaker of Mandarin and Cantonese.
I have been working as a language school teacher in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English for over five years. I mainly teach international students. In the classroom, I teach the language and share cultural and historical knowledge.Me as a Teacher
I already have 7 years of experience in online teaching, with certification to teach Chinese and English to adults and children. Also, I have completed IELTS teacher training courses with a certificate.
When I was in New Zealand for a working holiday a few years ago, I realized that learning their language is always the best way to know more about different cultures. That's why I want to help people who learn about the Chinese language and culture. At the same time, I am committed to supporting Chinese students in improving their spoken English and preparing them for studying and working in an English language environment. I used to work in the retail and management industry and enjoy communicating with people. We would have many topics for our conversation, such as travel, business, daily life, etc. I hope my class can make you feel comfortable practicing as much as possible.

We talked about our day, today, and it branched off into other topics. And then we went on to the reading material. Whenever I wasn't sure of a word to express myself, I would ask, and my teacher would tell me and write it down for me to review. Her teaching style is great!

As I went through them, she would ask questions regarding the topic being read. As usual, if I didn't know the word to express myself, I would ask, and she would let me know, and write it down for me.
