Mike van Rossum

Mike is een van de beste docenten die ik ken op italki voor Nederlands lessen. Ik heb veel lessen met hem gehad en hij was altijd punctueel. Daarnaast waren alle lessen goed gestructureerd en gericht op mijn aandachtspunten en verwachtingen. Hij heeft me voorbereid op Het C1-medische assessment. Dankzij hem kan ik nu beter Nederlands spreken en schrijven.

Onze les met Mike altijd top! Hij hielp me met mijn duo examen om te bereiden. Hij heeft grote motivatie om je te onderwijzen voor de examen om te passen. Vertrouw hem en geniet van de rit!

Mike is a perfect teacher! With him I started finally to talk, not just to read or listen. He is not pushy at all, but pulls dutch words out of your mouth easily. And he’s always good prepared for the lesson: a lot of exercises and examples are always ready. Mike even remembers mistakes from the previous lesson, my personal bugs in grammar and pronouncing, so next lesson we always work on it. I highly recommend this teacher, but a bit afraid that soon he can be too occupied 😜

The flow of the course, similar to the past sessions, is productive and entertaining. Pushing myself to speak in Dutch feels strange at first, but it gives me hope and encouragement as I get actively engaged with the language. New topics are introduced and explored further during the sessions, which helps with making sense of the language and its rules. Besides my improvement, I can only hope future sessions continue to be similar to the current ones.

Best teacher ever! Mike manages to get the perfect balance between leading the conversation and letting you the freedom to practice. I think I had with him my most effective lessons, at first I didn't even notice, but he had written down all my mistakes, ready to clarify them after the talk. Besides that, he's just super chill and time flies by too quickly talking with him! Simply perfect, would totally recommend.
