Hi! My name is Alexander, although many call me Ale or Alex. I'm gay, and I write it with pride because hiding who you are is, I think, a weakness for us in the community. I love meeting people; I'm always an open book with those I meet. I love music; I literally listen to music for hours. If you give me a choice between Madonna and Lady Gaga, my answer is AC/DC! If you like horror and suspense movies, we'll get along well. I consider myself very social; chatting and being open to listening to others is something I enjoy doing. I'm also a content creator on social media. My content is about alternative fashion, rocker hairstyles, makeup for "weirdos," etc…

Me as a Teacher
As your teacher, I'll first assess you if you decide to take beginner classes. I'll listen to your goals, analyze your current knowledge, and then create a study plan so we can explore topics together. On the other hand, if you choose to take Spanish practice sessions, you'll choose the topic. If you're unfamiliar with something, or if I'm unfamiliar with the topic, I'd be happy to listen and learn so we can discuss it. It's important to understand that during conversation practice, if you ask for my opinion, you should know that it's an opinion you requested. Therefore, I hope you won't get angry or make false accusations against me for something I said that you disagreed with.
My lessons & teaching style
Here we'll talk about exercises, lots of vocabulary, pronunciation of words, and integrating ourselves into the culture, in this case Mexican culture (you only ask to know about it). I'll also give you exercises to do in class with me, and of course, if you want, you can do homework on your own after class to train your brain with everything you've seen. Finally, remember that if you're not good at speaking Spanish, we'll speak in English at first, and as we progress, we'll switch to Spanish.

What can I say… I LOVED MY CLASS WITH ALEXANDER!! I admit I was very nervous, since I'm a 50-year-old trans woman and sometimes you can feel invisible when talking to younger people, but with Alexander it was the complete opposite. He was very patient, kind, considerate, and attentive. I honestly never thought I'd find a teacher from the LGBTQ+ community, but I really enjoyed this class. Although I speak Spanish, I'm not perfect with what I say, but he helped me a lot. We talked about so many topics that I asked for a 30-minute trial class, but he was so considerate that our class lasted almost two hours. We also talked about the LGBTQ+ community, and he told me so many things that are true and, unfortunately, no one in the community pays attention to. I'm excited to take more classes with this attentive and charming young man! 10 out of 10 Thank so much Alexander!!!!

Ale is amazing and made me feel so comfortable during our first class. I felt like was talking to a friend! So excited for next chat and feeling better already about speaking Spanish with others.

I thought that as an LGBT person I would be in good company with Alexander, who says he is openly gay and that as long as there is respect, anyone would be welcome in his classes. However, he declined to continue lessons with me because we had different opinions about LGBT rights. He spent a large portion of our trial lesson telling me that LGBT people don't have problems so there's no need to support our rights, that transgender people shouldn't make the government pay for their healthcare, and that children shouldn't be exposed to LGBT people. I found this extremely unprofessional and I feel like I was lectured and berated. I didn't have the chance to speak for the last 10 minutes of the lesson because Alexander spent the whole time telling me that my views and opinions are wrong. This was extremely disappointing and I'm honestly extremely sad. I was willing to continue taking lessons and talking about our differences, but Alexander refused to continue lessons with me.
