Hello! My name is Walid , I'm a civil engineer & online freelancer. I come from the 2nd most French-speaking country in the world. In just 30 minutes Walid provided such a great impression of his teaching style: calm, patient, but balanced with correction and pushes to improve. Toward the beginning of the lesson, I also mentioned my learning style is to be corrected on the spot when I commit errors, and he followed through by correcting my pronunciation or word choices when I made mistakes. It helped me nip my mistakes in the bud - exactly what I need! Walid overall gave me a great intro to iTalki and I feel confident working together with him.

Wonderful class and great learning with Walid as always! After 2 months learning french with Walid, I have to say that my pronunciation and my french level has improved like I never expected :) I am really happy to have found a teacher like him and without doubts, one of the best teachers (if not the best) within the platform. Since I'm taking iTalki tutoring lessons for a proficiency exam (DELF B2), Walid explained the structure of the exact part of the exam for which I asked him for help, and the best structure for my spoken answers to help me succeed. As usual, he also provided helpful corrections to my French, and swapped to English only when I was totally lost. Walid continues to be a great tutor and tailors his lessons to my learning style.

I have been learning French with Walid since I was a beginner. He is a wonderful teacher! My pronunciation had significantly improved even after just a few weeks. His materials are excellent and organised. The grammar lessons were extremely helpful and concise, with him clarifying common mistakes and misunderstandings as well. The grammar homework really challenged me, which I enjoyed. He also provides listening homework on daily topics/conversations to help me learn natural phrases and expressions.
