Hello! My name is Jess and I come from the north of England. After living in London for the past 10 years, I have moved to Berlin - and I love it! In January 2020, I trained as a TEFL teacher (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). In 2011, I trained as an actor and have been acting and directing since 2014. Whilst training, I did a lot of work on voice training, accents and phonetics. I believe it is important to feel comfortable when learning a new language. I have been learning to speak German for the last year - so I completely understand how difficult and nerve-wracking it can be! This has helped me become a better teacher, as I can see what methods work for me when learning and can then use them in my English lessons. I am also skilled at noticing pronunciation difficulties and finding methods for students to pronounce these with more ease, as well as helping students to develop a more natural sounding accent when speaking English.
