I am from Saint Petersburg, Russia and I am a native speaker of both Russian and English. Throughout my childhood I had lived in Tanzania, where I learned to speak fluent Swahili. I have studied languages (German and Spanish) and understand the difficulties you’ll face learning a foreign language so I am patient and friendly. I currently live in Barcelona, where I speak Spanish and Catalan on a daily basis.
I decided to start teaching because I enjoy meeting new people and learning more about different cultures and lifestyles. My lessons are quite informal as my main aim is to have you speaking as much as possible because that’s the best way to learn.Me as a Teacher
Living in Africa has helped me to interact with people from different countries. I have been teaching languages for about 3 years. I had a lot of international students from all over the world. I am very fun,friendly and outgoing and always encourage my students to speak as much as possible and entirely lose their fear of making a mistake (they are an essential part of learning any language!). We can do casual classes, where we mostly speak about various topics, or if you need to prepare for assessments such as IELTS and CAE, we can do speaking in the exam format. In the previous years I have prepared several students to do these exams and they all passed with flying colors.My lessons & teaching style
My lessons are based on conversation. I have deep knowledge in Russian, English, Spanish and Swahili grammar and am able to help my students evaluate their academic level and develop it further. Alongside, I am able to prepare you for language exams, help with homework and even give my own, solve grammar exercises or simply help you prepare for a holiday in a country where you will need to speak English, Russian, Spanish or Swahili.My teaching material
