Marlene es la mejor profesor y la más simpática que he tenido a través de iTalki. Ella es muy paciente y me anima a cumplir mis objetivos. ¡La recomiendo mucho!

I normally leave my reviews in Spanish, as this is part of the learning process. But I wanted to leave one review in English. Marlene is a wonderful Spanish teacher. She prepares for every class, and she makes corrections with kindness. She remembers errors from past classes and helps her student learn, slowly in my case, from earlier mistakes. But Marlene is so much more than a wonderful Spanish teacher. Marlene involves either a video or an article in Spanish with a theme. Sometimes these themes are light. But often these themes are informative about things that matter in life, whether discussed in Spanish or in any other language. I have learned much more than language from Marlene. I cannot recommend a teacher more highly. Try her packet of five classes, because after five classes, you too will realize that you are learning Spanish as a byproduct of a more important education.

Great trial lesson! It was a challenge for me - my first time to have a conversation in Spanish that was longer than just a few sentences with someone. I was a little nervous at the start but Marlene made me comfortable pretty quickly. Marlene was patient with me at points when I needed patience and overall, she's just a lot of fun to talk with. She used the chat window to explain words I was not familiar with, very helpful.
