I normally leave my reviews in Spanish, as this is part of the learning process. But I wanted to leave one review in English. Marlene is a wonderful Spanish teacher. She prepares for every class, and she makes corrections with kindness. She remembers errors from past classes and helps her student learn, slowly in my case, from earlier mistakes. But Marlene is so much more than a wonderful Spanish teacher. Marlene involves either a video or an article in Spanish with a theme. Sometimes these themes are light. But often these themes are informative about things that matter in life, whether discussed in Spanish or in any other language. I have learned much more than language from Marlene. I cannot recommend a teacher more highly. Try her packet of five classes, because after five classes, you too will realize that you are learning Spanish as a byproduct of a more important education.

Marlene is an excellent teacher! Before our lesson, I gave her a couple of areas in which I was struggling with Spanish and she created our lesson to focus exactly on the things she knew would be most useful. I was very pleasantly surprised on the material we covered, as it was exactly what I needed, without really knowing myself ahead of time what I needed. That is a sign of a great teacher. I will definitely take more lessons with Marlene.
