Hello everyone! My name is Victor Muñoz, I was born in the beautiful city of Medellin, Colombia and as a child my family and I moved to the U.S where I grew up and went to school for many years. I later returned to Colombia and started teaching English at the age of 18. I now have over 15 years of experience teaching. I also studied International Business and worked for 6 years as an Account Executive, Coordinator in the Logistics dept. and as a Senior Buyer for a Multinational company. I love traveling; I’ve been to places like Dubai, Seychelles, Spain, Thailand, and others. I love sports, music, art, movies, cooking and more.Me as a Teacher
I love teaching and helping people reach their goals of improving and feeling confident about speaking a new language by focusing on the strengths and weaknesses of every individual student. My classes are fun, interesting and dynamic, I do not like to focus only on grammar but rather on fluency and conversational skills. I believe having conversations on various different subjects is the best way to learn and practice a new language.My lessons & teaching style
I like to use my experience from teaching at places like Berlitz (Dubai & Medellin), Winston Salem Academy, Universal Language Academy, etc. and put together all the knowledge I've gained over the years into my own methodology which is focused on conversation. I always send an email with the material before class so that you can get familiarized with it. Each class is about a specific topic containing simple grammar explanations, interesting vocabulary and lots of specific questions that bring everything together and make you use everything learned in a dynamic conversation. At the end I like to answer any questions and doubts you might have and provide feedback.My teaching material

I’ve been taking lessons with Victor for a little over two months. Before I started working with him, I had very little knowledge of the Spanish language, but I’ve made great progress thanks to his help. I recently took the Spanish CLEP exam and scored high enough to earn six college credits. That alone speaks to the quality of instruction he provides.
Victor is patient, encouraging, and excellent at breaking down Spanish grammar. He’s especially good at explaining things in English to help you truly understand Spanish. It’s clear that he enjoys teaching, and even clearer that he’s great at it
