Hi! I'm Sıla from Ankara, Turkey. My name, Sıla, has a beautiful meaning in Turkish, it describes the feeling of returning home and reuniting with your loved ones after a long time away. So, you've already learned your first Turkish word! I graduated with a degree in English Language Teaching and have been teaching both English and Turkish for several years. I also studied abroad through the Erasmus program in Poland and Greece, which gave me firsthand experience of learning languages and adapting to new cultures. After teaching at a private school for two years, I quit my job and spent six months backpacking across the Balkans. I then moved to Australia, where I've been living for the past three years. Traveling has introduced me to incredible people and cultures, and it's one of the reasons I love teaching languages. I believe speaking is the key to learning a language. You may understand, read, and write well, but if you can't express yourself, real-life situations can be challenging. My lessons focus on building your confidence through relaxed conversations, practical vocabulary, and natural expressions. Mistakes are always welcome, they're part of the learning process!
