I’m 30 years old and, when I’m not teaching, I’m usually playing drums in my band or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I am currently learning Mandarin myself, so I know exactly how challenging, frustrating, and ultimately rewarding the language-learning journey can be. Being a student again has completely reshaped how I teach; I understand the "mental blocks" you face and how to help you push through them. I believe that a good teacher should be a supportive partner in your learning, not just a lecturer. During my time in China, I was proud to be awarded ‘Teacher of the Year,’ a recognition of my commitment to my students' progress and engagement.
