✅Effective, beginner-friendly lessons with a structured approach! Language learning enthusiast 🌈 Hello! I’m a Japanese teacher based in Japan, with over seven years of experience teaching Japanese and English. Although I was born in Japan, I moved to Peru when I was two and lived there for over 15 years. Growing up in a multilingual environment, I became fluent in Japanese, Spanish, and English. I have also studied several other languages and spent a year as an exchange student in South Korea. As a language learner myself, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I tailor each lesson to your level and goals, helping you improve your speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and confidence. Beginners can build a solid foundation step by step, while intermediate and advanced learners can develop fluency through natural conversation. I am also happy to answer questions about Japanese language, culture, history, and daily life in Japan. In my free time, I enjoy reading, studying languages (currently Swedish and Polish), and spending time with my dog. I look forward to learning about your country and culture too! Please note: Beginner and intermediate students should be able to communicate in English or Spanish. I currently accept students aged 18 and above. Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice cannot be rescheduled. No refunds are provided for missed lessons.

Watana-sensei is very good about helping me to expand my vocabulary and be more precise in my expressions. Her being fluent in English also helps when there is a particular phrasing I wish to convey with some nuance in Japanese.

Watana San is very friendly and correct me on the spot. Always having great chat with Watana San and able to learn a lot from our conversation. The lesson was full of laughter and informative at the same time. Can't wait for our next lesson. Thank you Watana San.

When I started lessons with Watana-san, I couldn't understand any Japanese conversations. After a couple of months of (almost) weekly practice, I can now understand quite a bit. This is a testament to her patience & skill as a mentor. I'm very thankful to have learned a lot from her.

처음엔 30분이 길다고 생각했는데 수업하다보니 어느새 빠르게 흘러갔어요! 오랜만에 영어로 말해서 좀 긴장했었는데 여러 주제로 재밌게 이야기 하다보니 긴장도 풀렸습니다. 피드백도 적절하게 잘 주시고 수업 분위기도 좋았어요. 즐거운 수업시간이었습니다.
