Hey :) Have you just stopped here to read my intro? That's great - scroll no further! As a qualified English teacher with experience on four different continents, I have finally joined the online teaching community to help students achieve their goals and improve their language skills! I have been teaching students of all ages and all levels. I can prepare you for your IELTS exam, help you improve your writing skills, grammar and vocabulary, and have conversations in any topic! I obtained my Master's degree in English teaching in 2012 in Budapest, Hungary, and teaching English has been part of my life ever since! Over the years I was giving one-on-one lessons in my free time to help others reach their language learning goals, and I spent two months in Vietnam teaching in several different language schools. Last year I worked in Hungary, both in a public school and at a private language school, teaching teenagers and adults. I love all aspects of the English language, and my favourite areas are grammar, speaking about a wide range of topics, writing and spelling. My lessons & teaching style
I create a fun and positive learning environment where students can feel at ease and where all questions are welcome! I always prepare my lessons taking the students' learning needs and interests into consideration. My classes are structured, goal-oriented and tailored to each student's level of English, goals and personality. As a non-native English speaker myself, I know very well how it feels to learn a language from zero. Translator and HR traineeDuring my traineeship at the European Commission I worked with people from several European countries. I learned a lot both professionally and culturally! I have friends from most European countries many of whom I have visited as well, which developed my passion for travelling, openness and curiosity towards other cultures.
2013 - 2015
administrative assistantAdministrative position in a culturally diverse, English- and French-speaking office. I was working with documents written in all official EU languages, and provided terminology material for translators.
2016 - 2018
volunteeringI spent a few months in Vietnam teaching English in five different locations. Afterwards I travelled to South America, learned Spanish and taught English in Lima, Peru to elementary school students.
2019 - 2019
English teacherLast year I taught 17 and 18 year old students and helped them prepare for their school leaving exams. I taught English to working professionals and military personnel, all levels.
2019 - 2020
English teacherI left for Australia in December 2019 with plans to stay at least a year! I was participating in cultural events and activities and started online teaching - I taught people with English as a second language to help them integrate in Australia. Unfortunately in May 2020 the pandemic forced me to move back to Hungary where I am right now, teaching online full time.

English teacherAfter I moved back from Australia due to the pandemic, I started working online full time, teaching English and Hungarian. I enjoy speaking with people from different parts of the world, teaching them or talking about languages and cultures :) It's the best thing now that travel options are limited. I highly recommend Nikolett. She is one of the best teachers. She pays attention to your goal and adjusts her lessons in a way, that you reach it quickly and effectively. Nikolett is very patient, which is great when you study such difficult language as Hungarian.

This was my 10th class with Nikolett. She is a fantastic teacher and a delight to speak Hungarian with. Over the past 10 sessions I can honestly say that my speaking skills have improved significantly.
I look forward to our classes every week. For those interested in speaking with a native Hungarian speaker who has a strong sense of how to teach this challenging language, I recommend giving her a try.

Nikolett has been an outstanding teacher! She is patient and works at my level, reviewing material from previous lessons as needed before advancing. It is very helpful to work with her curriculum and progress with material that is useful to learn in the order she teaches it. I appreciate her diligence in teaching complicated grammar structures and giving examples, then helping me work through role playing and producing dialogue. Strongly recommend for anyone seeking a dedicated teacher to learn the basics and progress to more advanced skills at your pace.
