About Me

Hi, my name is Rose Mary. I am from Costa Rica and Spain. I am a biologist by profession, tour guide, and environmental educator. Later I trained as a yoga and meditation teacher. I've had the great opportunity to live in many countries (12 in total) and teach Spanish to people from different nationalities. This has taught me a lot about the different ways people enjoy learning languages. I have learnt to adapt my teaching methods to every student. Traveling to many countries has made me a very open-minded and friendly person who enjoys getting to know different people and cultures. I am also a nature lover. I love photography, painting and healthy cooking.

Me as a Teacher

I worked as a Spanish teacher with the Peace Corps program in Costa Rica for a few years. I have also worked for Spanish language schools in Uganda and Costa Rica. I am currently a private Spanish tutor.

My lessons & teaching style

You will learn in a quiet environment and you are allowed to make mistakes; this is part of learning a skill. You will learn always at your own pace. I will help you to improve in grammar, vocabulary, conversation and practice with dialogues. If you wish, I will give you homework for you to review what we learn in class. I am a very creative person and have many interests in life which make my classes very fun and varied! I look forward to meeting you :)
