Linnea Espeland

Linnea makes learning a language SO much fun. She keeps the lessons interesting by having different activities each time (like guessing games, translation exercises, pronunciation exercises, and creating my own sentences) and she lets me make mistakes instead of just giving me the right answer. The lessons are difficult but she offers so much support and encouragement, so it feels like I'm chatting with an old friend who's just really concerned about my Norwegian pronunciation :) Tusen takk!!!

Originally I wanted to wait a bit with the review of Linnea's lessons, because a review is more meaningful after several lessons, but the first 3 lessons with Linna have been so good that I don't want to hold back. I have now met several teachers here on iTalki as well as through my studies and I must say that no teacher has ever convinced me so much. Linnea manages to make an hour length lesson feel like five minutes, she is well prepared and does an excellent job of tailoring the lessons to one's needs. In addition, she creates an excellent learning atmosphere with her warm and humorous manner. Due to previous negative experiences and a general insecurity on my part, it usually takes me a long time to feel comfortable in a learning situation, but with Linnea I felt secure and comfortable after the first few minutes. I highly recommend any person to book Linnea's lessons! 😊

Lessons with Linnea are both fun and instructive, I can highly recommend her as a teacher.

She's a top notch professional I must say. Days before the class, she got in touch with me to learn about my goals, my Norwegian level and what kind of class I was looking for. Then she took some time out of her busy day to put a class together and taylor it to my needs (pretty good thing huh?) I think this speaks volumes about her commitment. Furthermore, her warm personality makes you feel very comfortable, especially when speaking a language you don't know, and class goes by in a wink. I give her my two thumbs up!

Linnea was organized, patient, and able to quickly adapt to my level of competence. I'm a beginner in Norwegian, so the infinite patience was much appreciated. Definitely recommended.
