Finnish language tutor with a passion for teaching Hello! My name is Karla, and I have been helping Finnish learners since 2020. I have a lot of volunteering experience in different organizations and language groups, in person as well as online. I have also taught myself several languages, so I am able to understand the struggles you may have but also find ways to make learning more fun. One of my biggest motivations to learn languages is to be able to help Finnish learners with all kinds of language backgrounds. Aside from learning languages I love playing music, singing, dancing, doing crafts, playing games and spending time in nature. Most of my teaching experience comes from volunteering in different organizations, but I have been giving private/group lessons online since April 2025. I have taught both individual students and groups in person and online, and have been teaching Finnish mostly through English, Russian and Ukrainian. But I can help you in any language I know. Currently I am only teaching adult learners. My teaching methodology is based on focusing the lessons around the learner's personal interests and motivation. I can help you build up your vocabulary and figure out grammar topics when they come up naturally as well as practice conversations on your level. If you want to use a textbook for more structured approach, that is also possible.
