Do you want to take your learning to a whole new level? Moi! Nice to meet you. My name is Pekka. As a native Finn from Helsinki, I'm an expert in how Finnish is used in everyday life. I have a good grasp of Finnish culture, history and contemporary topics we can discuss. Additionally, I like to spend my free time reading books, playing the piano, and learning languages. What about you? Do you enjoy learning languages, music, books, movies, or TV shows? If you answered yes to any of these, I believe we have much to discuss. As a community teacher on Italki, I specialize in teaching Finnish. It is important for me to make the lessons suit each student individually, so I usually discuss students' preferences first and then provide my thoughts on a potential structure for learning this language. The key is to keep the learning process interesting and fun, because that makes it also effective. One word: Flexible. I customize my lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. While conversations are a common approach to learning the spoken language on Italki, I am also open to exploring intricate details of grammar if that is your preference. I am always ready to dive deep into the language with you whenever you feel like it. I can also provide help for YKI-testi, if that is something relevant for you.
