My name is Bartosz, I'm a native polish speaker and few years ago I gained my Master's Degree in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language at Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. Originally, I'm from central Poland but I moved south to Cracow seven years ago to study polish philology as my Bachelor Degree. I like spending my free time with friends, reading books (fantasy, biographies or classics), watching TV series (I love Friends, Glee and Drag Race) or playing games (Dragon Age, Hogwarts Legacy, Crusader Kings or The Sims).
Me as a Teacher
I want to teach you how to use Polish in specific situations like ordering coffee, doing the shopping or booking a hotel room but also how to simply make a small talk or deeper conversations. No matter what's you level of proficiency I will help you improve your pronunciation so you will be understood be others. I'm really flexible as a teacher so knowing what someone needs and expects is important to me because it helps me organize my work better.
My lessons & teaching style
My methods and style depend on students needs. We can:
- start a whole course on certain level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2),
- top up your knowledge on certain level (A1-C2)
- focus on specific element of language (e.g. pronunciation, orthography or grammar)
- mix Polish and English to talk culture, history and geography
- focus on certain vocabulary (e.g. economy, wildlife, law, anatomy, business)
These are just some examples of how our work together might look like.

As I have already written several times, I always enjoy my lessons with Bartosz. He is well-prepared and ready to answer any questions that I may have. Since I speak Russian, I see a lot of similarities between the two languages. However, the differences are more interesting. The instructor does an excellent job of giving me enough information to satisfy my curiosity without confusing me with unnecessary information. Bartosz is a superb teacher!

I like how Bartosz includes significant time for review in every lesson. Now that the grammar is becoming more challenging and the vocabulary list is becoming longer, it's essential to be held accountable. I feel like I'm making good progress under his tutelage.

I always look forward to my lessons with Bartosz, and today's class was no exception. I am enjoying the challenge of studying Polish, and the instructor does a wonderful job of introducing new material and of giving me ample time to practice what I have learned.
