Thanks for viewing my profile, I'm Barry, a British guy (Londoner) living in sunny Lisbon, Portugal. I have an 10 year old son, and his bi-lingual abilities (English & Portuguese) are something truly impressive! At that age of course it is easy to learn, but there are lessons for us all to learn here……certainly in terms of being fearless in your use of your new language, as well as being immersed in that language as much as possible.Me as a Teacher
I am an energetic and experienced English Teacher with over 10 years’ experience teaching both adults and kids, both in person and online. I now teach students from China, Brazil, Russia, Korea, South America, Germany, Norway and more...... I have honed my technical abilities in recent years and am able to provide a smooth online learning experience, growing ever richer with multimedia content. I am TEFL qualified (160 hours) and have a BA in English Literature & Philosophy. Other studies have given me strong knowledge in the fields of Digital Production (video & audio) as well as Psychology, Anthropology, Music, and Film. My lessons & teaching style

My teaching style is relaxed and fun, and I regularly teach to students of all ages,
from as young as 4 years old, right up to my current oldest student who is 83!
I have a comprehensive set of English materials (textbooks/syllabus, games, role-plays, tests, etc etc)
Sometimes we focus on one book/worksheet at a time, taking things slowly. At other times we bounce around with 5-6 different sources simultaneously. All is designed to keep the students engaged, attentive and relaxed......but mostly, enjoying their learning experience!My teaching material
