Hello! I’m Jack, from a place near Birmingham, England. I am a native speaker and have spoken English for over 30 years, including several years in a business environment. I am also learning Japanese, so I understand what it’s like to learn a new language, and how difficult it can be!Me as a Teacher
I am CELTA qualified and my course was based mainly around online learning, so online teaching is my focus. I have experience in teaching intermediate students and above. We can use all kinds of materials to learn from, textbooks and coursebooks can offer a good learning structure, but we can also learn from authentic materials such as movies, TV, music, books, poetry, songs, video games and anything else that takes your interest! My lessons & teaching style
I believe lessons should be fun! If you enjoy a lesson, you will probably learn something, so I always try to make lessons as interesting as possible. I always try to make my lessons about you and how you like to learn. I also think that lessons should be relaxed and conversational, I encourage you to try out the language and make as many mistakes as you can, it's a great way to learn. I am so happy with Jack, I feel really confident to speak with him about my everyday life and connect with diferent topics the conversation brings. And of course, to read together. Therefore, I can practice/learn several words and ways to express what I want. When it is necessary he corrects me, take my notes, and we go on with the conversation. I fully recommend to have a lesson with Jack if you want to still practice your speaking skills.
