I am an older student and an introvert. Taking classes learning a new language and placing myself in a situation where I know I am making tons of mistakes is a challenge for me. Ma is excited about classes, engaging, and extremely friendly, which makes for what could be uncomfortable situation into a very enjoyable experience.

After a month or two of working with Fernanda, I find that she is a great teacher, capable of encouraging you to learn more, encouraging you to engage in what can be a stressful situation - an hour of speaking a language that you are trying to learn (with various degrees of success). She is patient, caring and a wonderful teacher.

What a great help! Ma Fernanda is one of the best teachers on this site. I will definitely schedule another conversation with her. It helps that she also has a decent grasp of English. Sometimes I guess the wrong Spanish word and give her the English and she knows what I'm trying to say.
