Certified TEFL teacher with 4 years of teaching experience Hi! I’m Jasmien, a native Dutch speaker from Belgium with a passion for bridging cultures through language. As a certified TEFL teacher, I specialize in helping beginners and intermediates gain confidence in Dutch, using real-life topics, from travel to art, to make learning lively and relatable. My background in communication and experience teaching diverse students (from Malawi to Brussels) means your lessons will be tailored, engaging, and culturally rich. Let’s turn language hurdles into fun conversations! I took my first steps as a teacher, volunteering weekends in Malawi teaching English to beginners. In Belgium, I volunteered for TADA, an organization that offers extra-curricular activities for socially vulnerable teenagers with different language backgrounds. I am TEFL certified. I have a master in Communication and would love to help you with your academic texts or presentations. As practice is the key to learn a new language, during our classes the emphasis will be on fluency. Classes will be based on your interests and learning goals, and we’ll make use of images, music, and video in order to aid the learning process. Please select the Italki Classroom when booking a class.

We studied together with material and Teacher asked different questions to take my ideas. She could open and expand the topic well.

I've been practicing with Jasmien for three weeks now, from scratch, and already feel like I am starting to talk a bit. Jasmien is very helpful, friendly, and supportive. If you do not forget to do your work offline, you'll be doing good at her lessons.
