Having a background in pedagogy as well as a degree in `Teaching German as a Foreign language` through Goethe Institut and University of Jena, I did not only gain teaching experience in working as a German teacher at Goethe Institut Shanghai but also in having various private German students, both adults and children. Having lived in China for many years, I can very well understand the struggels and difficulties of learning a new language and therefore know how to adapt my German class to your individual goals and needs. Thorough lesson planning, evaluation, exercises, sponaneity and fun is what is going to help you to improve your German quickly.My lessons & teaching style
In my class the practice, improvement and development of your communication skills is going to be the main focus. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere- without having to be afraid of making mistakes- we will practice and improve your communication abilities by using various kinds of entertaining and authentic topics, excercises and materials. In that way you will be able to expand your vocabulary rapidly and develop your understanding of grammar structures. In order to practice new as well as already existing vocabulary and grammar I will provide homework on a class-to-class basis ( if your time permits :) ).My teaching material

Teaching German as a Foreign Language - Goethe Institut - 2014For the duration of 2 years I was doing a degree in ` Teaching German as a Foreign Language`. In order to get that degree I had to write exams, hold classes as the institute and submit self-designed curriculums.

DaF- Lehrkraft / German TeacherFrom September 2011 to May 2014 I worked as a DaF teacher at the Goethe-Jinchuang Language Learning Center in Shanghai. This is a German-Chinese language course cooperation on behalf of the Goethe Institute e.V., the international cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany.
I taught the children's courses (ages 5-6 and 7-12 years) and adult courses at level B1
