Camila Cifuentes

Camilla's classes are well structured and interesting. There is grammar topic and a theme to be explored each class. We chat about the theme which then paves the way to a discussion about grammar elements - enough that I get a clear understanding of the grammar, but not so much detail that I am bored or overwhelmed. We don't usually speak English in the class, but I drew a blank on a common idiomatic English expression. She knew the phrase and was able to provide me the spanish equivalent without pause because her English is so good. I am very comfortable asking questions and she is very patient. She provides small amounts of homework which explore the theme and support the concepts previously taught. The homework is definitely manageable. It preceded by a very brief review of the topic, and we discuss the answers at the following class. I don't usually like homework but have found this incredibly useful. I have enjoyed every class I have had with Camila. Highly recommend.

Camila is the best teacher I've encountered on Italki so far. She always comes to class prepared with interesting content, but also leaves room for open conversation about what you want to talk more about. I will definitely be booking many more classes with Camila, and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish.

The teacher is excellent. She prepares all her own materials, which are always well structured and tailored to my needs. She can support conversations on any topic and makes lessons especially engaging by telling stories about culture and traditions from different countries. I find the classes very interesting and interactive. She explains Spanish grammar clearly and carefully comments on every mistake I make, which really helps me improve. She always sends homework in advance, and we review it together during each lesson. From the very beginning, she assessed my Spanish level with a test and created a personalized learning plan for me. She is very experienced and able to teach students from beginner level (A0) all the way up to C1, which is extremely important for me. We have now started working at the B1 level, and I strongly believe that with her guidance I will be able to reach C1 in a short period of time, including proper preparation for the DELE C1 exam. Thank you once again!
