Hello everyone!
My name is Juani, I am from Spain. Actually, I was born in Paris and I lived there for several years before moving to Spain. As a result, I speak both spanish and french as a mother tongue.
I currently live in Italy, where I moved 20 years ago to stay with my italian husband. As soon as I came to Italy, I started studying italian and I got a C2 Certificate.
I consider myself to be an extrovert person and I love being in contact with people. During my life, I travelled a lot and, thanks to this, I got to realize how incredible the world is. Also, I am very passionate about music and dance. In particular, I practice tango since it makes me feel extremely happy and free.Me as a Teacher
I have been a spanish teacher for about 10 years to the present day. Not only do I get students ready for DELE exams (from A1 to C2), but I can also teach technical spanish or focus on the conversational aspect of the language.
I also work as an examiner for the DELE examination centre.
I teach students of all ages, from children to adults. Depending on the age of the student, both the methodology and the topic of the lesson can change. I like confronting the student about his/her preferences, so to accomplish with what is more familiar to each one of them: it is fundamental that the student finds him/herself at ease with the teaching.My lessons & teaching style
During the lesson, I mainly focus on the conversational aspect of the language, since improving this feature is not only very important but also extremely useful nowadays. In order to do this, I spend much time encouraging the student to be confindent of his/her intuitive speaking.
Other fundamental parts of the lesson are the grammar, the phonetics, the reading part and the listening one. These are all tools that are exercised in order to get ready for a language exam.
For the purpose of each lesson, I share with the student plenty of materials such as pdfs, images, videos and much more. I can also recommend acquiring a learning text or some spanish literature.My teaching material

Juani gave very clear and practical tips about how to approach different parts of the DELE test. I liked that we had the entire session in Spanish to reinforce the language, and switched to English only for words I am unable to pick up.

Habían muchas cosas que me gustaron de la clase hoy. Juani me dio una tarea antes, con una tema muy interesante. Miré un video antes de la clase y escribí un resumen del video. Durante la clase hablamos sobre esta tema. También, yo practicaba mi pronunciación mientras leí mi resume.
Fue una clase muy muy útil porque Juani podía corregir mi pronunciación, vocabulario y gramática mientras leía mi propio trabajo. Fue una buena manera de reforzar el aprendizaje.
También yo pude aprender otro vocabulario, y hablar de más aspectos de la tema que no estaban en el video o en mi resumen.
Aprendí mucho en corto tiempo, y voy a recordar mucho más que si solo hubiera leido un texto y contestado preguntas, porque todo pasó en tiempo real durante la clase.
Juani pudo explicar en espanol, los aspectos de gramática y vocabulario que ocurre en mi resumen en una manera que yo podía entender completamente.
Fue una clase estupenda.
Estoy emocionada hacer la próxima clase!

my intent was to learn basic spanish as i have zero foundation. she started speaking spanish and kept on implying she’s not an english teacher. that defeats the purpose of me trying to learn the basic stuff coz how will i learn first hand and how will i keep up if you can’t explain it to me in English.
i still appreciate her for still moving on and trying to teach me the last 20-30mins. even tried to extend as she answers my questions.
i think she’s a mismatch to my needs. not flexible enough to adjust on first timers.
