Native speaker with a love for creative and passionate communication Hi, I’m Rebekah-Joy and I’m your new conversation partner! I’m American, born and raised, and English is my native language. I grew up exposed to a lot of the nuances of the English language, through both classical and modern literature and poetry and (as you can probably already tell) I love to talk! So if you’re looking to improve your English or maintain it, I’d love to help with conversation sessions. Whatever topic you want to discuss, I’m more than happy to talk about it with you. I’ve believe there’s no boring subjects when you’re passionate about it, so your interests and hobbies and experiences are all great options for conversation (and don’t worry, if you can’t think of anything I’m more than happy to come up with one!). Personally, I love learning the mythologies and folklore of different cultures; it's fascinating how much you can learn of a culture through them and how similar the stories are no matter where they come from. It’s like when meeting a new person, it’s so exciting to discover their uniqueness while also finding the many ways we’re the same. You’ll never have to worry about feeling awkward in our sessions, my main goal as a conversation partner would be to make you as comfortable as possible so you feel confident in expressing yourself. In my own language-learning journey, I’ve found the best way to fluency is feeling relaxed while speaking the language and enjoying the conversation. I’m so excited to meet and talk with you!
