Yves is a talented linguist who has the passion of learning and teaching languages. His class is always well-prepared, full of content, individual-tailored and full of fun. He is a teacher who is punctual, on one side flexible about the need from the student, on the other hand side strict with the quality of the teaching. It is a good experience to learn language with Yves.

Yves 是我在italki 上见过的最厉害的德语老师。他的课程内容超级多，一个小时的学习内容够我消化一个星期。他的专业能力过硬，任何中德翻译，解释都信手拈来。而且人超级好，情商智商双高。上他的课是种享受，让人感到愉悦。真希望有一天我的的德语也能够像他的中文那么好。

Ich hatte heute 1 Stunde mit Hyperpolyglot Yves und es hat mich sehr gefreut, so einen netten Lehrer kennenzulernen. Da ich schon etwas Berndeutsch spreche, konnten wir uns auch gleich unterhalten und es hat prima geklappt. Yves ist sehr gut auf meine Bedürfnisse eingegangen und hat abgefragt, welche Ansprüche ich an den Unterricht habe und was ich erwarte. Er hat alles, was ihm aufgefallen ist, korrigiert. Und das finde ich gut. Es kann gut sein, dass ich noch weitere Stunden buche, aber zur Zeit kann ich das noch nicht entscheiden. Es war auf jeden Fall eine schöne Begegnung.

Punctual, communicative, talented, a down-to-earth modest friendly genius. The 1 hour class consisted of everyday speaking, asking about my days, correcting my diary (homework), asking me to retell what I had read (homework), revising the last lesson’s materials, doing new translation exercises in different levels. Always lots of new words and grammatical tips. The homework always has varieties, writing, reading and listening, along with great, interesting and up-to-date material, it’s very effective. And Yves is always so encouraging. I still can’t believe I actually know such a person as Yves in real life (online)!

Ich hatte heute meine zweite Stunde mit Hyperpolyglot Yves. Es hat mir sehr gut gefallen, er ist sehr geduldig, hat Humor und lässt dem Schüler auch Zeit, sich zu verbessern. Das finde ich toll, denn manchmal fällt einem das ja selber schon auf, dass das sprachlich nicht ganz richtig war, was man gerade gesagt hat. Yves korrigiert mich, das finde ich gut und wichtig. Ich werde sicher noch einige Stunden bei ihm nehmen.
